Match-3 Games Brunch Tournaments Party. Source : match-3 Games

I recently had the opportunity to attend a match-3 games tournament party. I was a little surprised to see that there were only eight people at the party, including myself. Four of the people were from the match-3 games company, one was a KOL (key opinion leader), and three were other guests.

Honestly, I've played a lot of match-3 games, but I didn't know which ones were made by the company hosting the party. It turns out that they make popular games like Candy Crush, Gardenscapes, and Township. I was surprised to learn that the games on the Google Play Store and App Store are published by other companies.

When everyone arrived, the event started with a welcome and introduction. Then, we were invited to try the new game that the company would be releasing soon, Island Splash: Build Resorts.

I'm a big fan of Candy Crush, so I was excited to try Island Splash. The game is very similar to Candy Crush, but with a few new features. For example, in Island Splash, you can build and manage your own resort. You can also collect pets and use them to help you complete levels. and the power is very different too.

now, they give us 1 hours to play the Island Splash. and I eventually reached the 40++ level. I was surprised to see that I was at the top of the leaderboard for the highest level. I think I was able to do so well because I am already familiar with the gameplay mechanics of match-3 puzzle games.

I win two awards: the First Place Master Passer Award and the Best Landscaping Award. The Master Passer Award is given to the player who completes the highest level. The Best Landscaping Award is given to the player with the most creative and well-designed resort.

I am very proud of my accomplishments in the Island Splash beta test. I am grateful to Match 3 Games for giving me the opportunity to try the game early. I am also grateful to the other beta testers for their support and encouragement.

I played Island Splash for a while and had a lot of fun. The game is easy to learn but challenging to master. I'm definitely going to download it when it comes out.

Overall, I had a great time at the match-3 games tournament party. It was fun to meet new people and try a new game. I'm also glad that I learned more about the company behind some of my favorite games.

Here My Review

Graphics :❤️❤️❤️❤️🤍
I really like the graphic animation when you combine rainbow bomb or rainbow arrow, splash everywhere

Sound Effects : ❤️❤️❤️❤️🤍
theme music, like we are really on an island, very realistic, The in-game music is also very good
The sound effect when the combination is power helicopter, arrow, bomb and rainbow also sounds very good.

Visual Arts : ❤️❤️❤️❤️🤍
The graphics are good, the sound is also good and the visual art provided by each character design or town design is very good.

Gameplay : ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
its the same as a candy crush or any match-3 game, but you will love it because you will have new features to play

Story : ❤️🤍🤍🤍🤍
Is there any story in the game about why we have to build a resort, or why we have to move islands? I feel when playing this game, I don't see this at all.

😍 Good :
- I can combine a helicopter with a rainbow without having to disturb the other's power
- the animation is very smooth when im playing with my device
- compared to some match-3 games, I actually prefer this game. i love this game .
- game is more hard and challenging after above 100++ Level
- the level i play tell me how i like the game, right now is 153 Level
- I love the sound effect including graphic and animation when combine power.
- every certain hours, you can purchased power/ticket for free

🙃 Bad :
- I like to customize everything, but here, we are limited by not being able to change the pedestrian path.
- you need to select item to know how many exp star they give you if you buy that item ( tree, resort building ).
- the version I tried, the third island hasn't been created yet so there are only bugs.
- very big user interface, need to resize it.
- need settings menu for quality ( medium, high quality).
- ingame menu when playing, settings in the bottom of the screen.
- when moving buying object / building, sometimes so hard to make it the right place. - Only have 2 Island for now. when open the third island is error / bug ( check the first video below )
- cannot sign-in or save progress. ( check the second video below )

Summary ❤️❤️❤️🤍🤍

island Splash: Build Resorts is a great match-3 puzzle game that I'm really enjoying. I've been playing it with my friends to see who can reach the top of the leaderboard, and it's been a lot of fun. The game has great graphics, sound effects, and visual art, and the gameplay is challenging and addictive. I'm really excited for the official release, and I can't wait to see what else the developers have in store for us.

The Final Thought For Developer

Island Splash someday will become a popular match-3 puzzle game that has been praised for its graphics, gameplay, and features. However, some players have wondered whether Island Splash could be a competitive game or just still puzzle family game.

In a recent meeting, the developers and participant of Island Splash discussed the possibility of making the game more competitive. Some of the participant suggested creating a tournament event, while others suggested adding new features that would allow players to compete against each other.

right now in my mind, i have a suggestion for a competitive mode similar to Tetris Battle. In Tetris Battle, two players compete against each other by clearing lines of blocks. When a player clears a line, they send obstacles to their opponent's board. The first player to fill up their opponent's board loses the game. i think this concept can adapt to Island Splash.

While this idea of a competitive mode for Island Splash, there are some challenges that the developers would need to overcome. First, they would need to decide whether to make the competitive mode 1v1 or team-based. if 1v1 maybe your game will same like auto chess, clash royale, teamfight tactics. if you make a team-based competitive, look how many game still have a vibe till now CS:Go, Dota 2, Mobile legends.

I Talk About The Revenue. Revenue from 1v1 and team-based games can vary depending on a number of factors, including the genre of the game, the target audience, and the monetization strategy. However, in general, team-based games tend to generate more revenue than 1v1 games.

There are a few reasons for this. First, team-based games are often more social and engaging than 1v1 games. Players are able to work together to achieve a common goal, which can be more fun and rewarding than playing alone. This can lead to players spending more time and money on team-based games.

Second, team-based games often have a wider variety of content and features than 1v1 games. This can include different maps, modes, characters, and items. This gives players more options and helps to keep them engaged for longer periods of time.

Finally, team-based games are often easier to monetize than 1v1 games. This is because there are more opportunities to sell in-game items and cosmetics to players. For example, a team-based game could sell different skins for each character, while a 1v1 game would only be able to sell one skin per character.

Examples of revenue from 1v1 and team-based games

Here are some examples of revenue from 1v1 and team-based games:

  • 1v1 games
  • Hearthstone: Hearthstone is a free-to-play digital collectible card game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. Hearthstone generates revenue through microtransactions, such as card packs and hero portraits. In 2022, Hearthstone generated $415 million in revenue.

Gwent: Gwent is a free-to-play collectible card game developed and published by CD Projekt Red. Gwent generates revenue through microtransactions, such as card kegs and cosmetics. In 2022, Gwent generated $110 million in revenue.

  • Team-based games
  • League of Legends: League of Legends is a free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game developed and published by Riot Games. League of Legends generates revenue through microtransactions, such as champion skins and wards. In 2022, League of Legends generated $1.75 billion in revenue.

Dota 2: Dota 2 is a free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game developed and published by Valve. Dota 2 generates revenue through microtransactions, such as cosmetics and the Battle Pass. In 2022, Dota 2 generated $560 million in revenue.

As you can see, team-based games tend to generate more revenue than 1v1 games. This is due to a number of factors, including the social and engaging nature of team-based games, the wider variety of content and features in team-based games, and the easier monetization of team-based games.

Conclusion

While 1v1 games can still be successful, team-based games tend to generate more revenue. This is due to a number of factors, including the social and engaging nature of team-based games, the wider variety of content and features in team-based games, and the easier monetization of team-based games
