The festival will feature 14 light art installations from 11 countries, including Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, China, Korea, France, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The artworks will be on display from 7.30pm to 11pm daily, with extended hours to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is free.
Here are some of the highlights of iLight Singapore 2023:
First it's "The Wave" by Singaporean artist Chong Fah Cheong is a 12-meter-tall wave sculpture made of recycled plastic bottles. The sculpture will be illuminated with LED lights that will change color and shape in time to music but I forget to take the foto and video about that but it's nearly dbsxgastrobeast
The second is "The Forest" by French artist Sylvain Brison is an installation of 100 illuminated trees. The trees will be arranged in a forest-like setting and will be lit up with different colors.
The third is "The Light Path" by Taiwanese artist Lee Mingwei is a series of illuminated pathways that will wind through Marina Bay. The pathways will be lined with sculptures and other artworks
iLight Singapore is a great opportunity to see some of the most creative and innovative light art from around the world. It is also a great way to learn about sustainable design and to enjoy the beauty of Marina Bay at night.
